Europe

Thanks to my work, I have had the opportunity to travel to Europe a great many times. I am lucky, because Europe is such a diverse place. A few hours on a train will often take you to a.new country having its own language, culture, lifestyle, and BEER. The differences within each country can also be quite pronounced due to a history in which cities where quite independent for a very long time.

My first trip to Europe was in 1986 as part of my first ever Round The World (RTW) trip. I visited England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Switzerland. In 1988, Coles Myer sent me to England for two weeks of training, I used my weekend off to attend my first Octoberfest in Munich.

My second RTW trip was in 1996 as part of my MBA studies at Monash University. Traveling with a group of about 30 International Marketing students, we visited England, France, and Germany.

I visited England quite a few times between 1997 and 1999. My company, Knowledge Horizons had customers in England requiring constant visits.

My third RTW trip was in 2002, just weeks after I was married. I shortened my travels, but still found time to make my first visit to Austria.

I visited Europe quite a few times between 2010 and 2018 as part of my work with GBS and then my own company, Red Pill Now. We attended a lot of conferences, often as sponsors. Many of these conferences were in Belgium and Netherlands, but I also attended conferences in Austria, England, and Germany.

In 2013, Michelle, Ashley, and I travelled to Europe for the first time visiting Bruges (Belgium) prior to one of my conferences in Brussels. In 2015, we undertook our second European vacation, visiting France, Germany, and Italy.

In 2025 my epic cruise travels began with a cruise from USA to England. Later I enjoyed four Northern European cruises that visited England, Iceland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, and Wales. This was followed by three Southern European cruises that visited Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Spain, and Turkey. Between those cruises I found ways to also visit Finland, Germany, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. My last European cruise departed Portugal for Africa.
