The View From My Beer
My first stop today was Noonamah, 50k south of Darwin. The last true NT Outback pub before I hit the city. I started my day with a schooner of Great Northern Super Crisp. It was damn hot outside with the mercury reaching 37C. I needed a cold refreshing beer to cool me down a little. Sure miss those Norwegian Summers about now.

Daly Waters

Before departing Daly Waters, I spent some tiem taking a look at Tim’s amazing junk collection. This guy has a serious problem collecting stuff. He also had a sense of humour, e.g. Adding a KFC Sign above the chicken coop. I visited the airfield, which had once been the home of Qantas.
Noonamah

My only stop for the day, after leaving Daly Waters, was Noonamah, just south of Darwin. My last chance to savor a (semi) outback pub before hitting the city of Darwin.
Darwin

Tonight I was staying in a hotel in downtown Darwin. This meant on my return I was able to talk a walk around towwn, grab something to et and then visit a local pub for a nice cold sherbert so I could reflect on my latest trip.

Now this is what I call a pizza. Ever since moving to the US I have often craved the type of pizza I remembered when I lived in Australia. The opposite of some American pizzas where you can struggle to find a single piece of salami/peporoni on each slice. So much so I took to cooking my own pizzas at home, purchasing frozen pizzas and then adding a whole buncg of extra pepperoni, ham, and cheese. On my return to Australia I have struggled to find many of those old-fashioned overloaded pizzas. Especially the really hot (spicy) ones!
